New iPhone XI renders show new design: Massive camera bump with three large cameras

New iPhone XI renders show new design: Massive camera bump with three large cameras

It will be five months before Apple launches the next generation iPhone models for the market. The rumours and speculations have given us an idea that Apple will release three new models in 2019 all of them as the successors to the 2018 models. Two of the models will sport OLED panels while the third model will come with Liquid Retina LCD display. A few renders were also released to show a triple camera setup on the new models. Now, another set of highly detailed renders have been released, reconfirming most of the known details, except for one major change.

OnLeaks and CashKaro have released high resolution renders of the next generation iPhone XI and iPhone XI Max. While they look similar to previously released renders, the latest set changes one major aspect of the design the camera bump. The previous renders showed a massive camera bump containing three camera lenses. However, the camera bump was blacked out, similar to the dual camera bumps on the current generation iPhone XS.
The new renders show that the iPhone XI will have coloured camera bumps on the coloured models. The white variant will have the camera bump painted in white while the black variant will have it painted in glossy black. The camera lenses will be massive as well, which means that the next generation iPhones will have vastly improved camera tech under the hood.

Rest of the design is pretty similar to what we have seen so far. The stainless steel frame will remain and so will glass rear panel. The front of the smartphone will resemble the present generation iPhone models narrow-bezel display with edge-to-edge screens and the big notch holding the FaceID system.
The squarish camera bump design isn’t new in the world of smartphones. Huawei’s Mate 20 Pro also sports a triple camera setup designed in a similar way. However, Huawei put the cameras in the centre, thereby making it gel well with the rest of the smartphone. The iPhone’s implementation isn’t balanced and is controversial some may like while some may want to avoid it.

That said, it’s still too early to believe the rumours. Hence, you shouldn’t take these renders seriously. Rumours have suggested that Apple will indeed go for a triple camera setup on the iPhone XI and iPhone XI Max. The successor to the iPhone XR will get the dual camera system. The additional camera that the new iPhones are expected to gain could be a wide-angle unit, which has been the norm in the industry lately.

Just to confirm their suspicions,...
