Apple’s annual developer conference World Wide Developer’s Conference (WWDC) 2018 has kickstarted from June 4 in San Jose, California. Apple has announced the next version of its iOS operating system--iOS12. The WWDC 2018 conference starts June 4 and will run through June 8. The key highlight of Apple WWDC is iOS 12 along with macOS Mojave and watchOS 5.

Here are the highlights from the keynote session of Apple WWDC 2018:
-The next release of macOS is macOS Mojave. Birngs dark mode. Also, there is dynamic desktop along with desktop stacks which automatically groups desktop contents. The Finder app now comes with a new view--Gallery view. Apps on Mac devices will be more secure and private. Safari browser is getting additional security.

- You can also add Apple TV remote in the control center of your iPhone.

-Apple TV 4K gets Dolby Atmos support. Also, iTunes library will be updated with Atmos support for free.

-Apple TV business has grown over 50% since its introduction: CEO Tim Cook

-Apple announces new Pride edition watch face and band.

-The watchOS 5 will also bring Siri shortcuts that is there on iOS 12. Also, watchOS 5 will make notification more interactive. There is also support for web content.

-Apple announced watchOS 5. Now, it will measure 'Yoga' sessions accurately. With "retroactive credits" the Watch will detect workouts even if you forget to start a session. The new watchOS 5 comes with a "Walkie-Talkie" app through which you can send short voice messages. The Watch-to-Watch connection works with both GPS and Cellular version of Watch 3.

- You can now 'group FaceTime' with 32 people at the same time. FaceTime now support Animojis and Memojis too.

-Animoji's get 'tongue detection'. Apple also announces 'Memojis'. It is basically your face as an animoji which you can personalise.

-Apple's next iOS version will offer insights on how you use your iOS device. You will get to know how much time you are spending with your iPhone. You can also set your own app limit to restrict iPhone usage. The app limits are shared across all iPhones and iPads and the time limit for app is the total of all the iOS devices.

-iOS 12 will now "group" notifications as per apps and topics.

-Apple introduces 'Do not disturb during bed time' option that will not show notifications when you don't want.

-With iOS 12, CarPlay will support third-party navigation apps like Google Maps.

-Voice Memo comes to iPad with iOS 12. Also, there's a new name called Apple Books for audio books and e-books.

-Apple News gets a new 'Browse' tab to help you know channels. Apple has rebuild the 'Stocks' app. Apple News comes inside Stocks. All top business news will pop inside the Stocks app. The news are curated by Apple Editors. Also, the Stocks app will come to iPads with iOS 12.

-With Siri shortcuts, you can tune Siri to fetch information from an app without opening it on the lock screen itself.

-Apple claims Siri gets 10 billion requests every month. Apple wants to make Siri do much more. Now you can also add to a shortcut to Siri.

-Apple AR Kit makes multimedia interactions more personal and effective. There is a new "Measure" app which uses the camera to provide dimensions of objects.

-With Adobe Creative Cloud and iOS, developers will now get a "what you see is what you get" experience in Augmented Reality editing.

-iOS 12 will come to all Apple devices.
-81% Apple devices are on the latest version of iOS 11. Compared to Google's Android, the latest Android release has got an install base of just 6%.

Apple Admits a Small Portion of Siri Recordings Are Heard by Humans

Apple allows Siri recordings to be heard by contractors as part of a process called "grading", which improves the efficacy of the voice assistant, a report claims. This frequently includes confidential information, such as medical history, sexual interactions, and even drug deals, a whistleblower working for one of the contractors is cited to say. Apple has responded to the report, confirming that a small portion of Siri recordings is indeed used for improvements. The news comes at a time when Amazon and Google, both which also offer voice assistant services, have admitted third parties have access to some voice details.
